False Start on Mother Nature…. .

We had great weather for the Jr Cleanup and for the first Adventure Day, but Winter’s grasp came back to provide windy and chilly conditions for the first day of spring races.  As a result the first day was cancelled.  The higher winds, along with air and water temperatures in the 50’s, created a situation that those new to racing would probably not have enjoyed.  A few of the experienced sailors managed to get out on the water for a spring refresher and practice, enjoying the winds.  However, even they gave into the chill after an hour.

As a result, the first race of the Spring Series is April 28.  The skippers meeting will be at 12:00 and we will get everyone out racing as quickly as possible after that.  Please spread the word, we still have Optis and Sunfish available to sail.  Please email Darryl Resio at dtresiomob@gmail.com if you intend to use one.
